ABC & Rabies Prevention
67,000 reasons to support Animal Birth Control and Rabies Prevention

Life is hard for street dogs. Many starve to death. Others get sick or hit by cars. Some contract rabies, which can be spread to humans through dog bites. At least 20,000 people die in India annually from rabies. And just one female dog (and her future puppies) can in six years give birth to more than 67,000 street dogs! The solution is simple: Animal Birth Control! Our Animal Birth Control (ABC) and Rabies Prevention program keeps rabies out of our community and saves millions of dogs from being born into a hard life on the streets.
How It Works

It all starts with our superhero Dog Catchers! They go out every day to catch street dogs who need ABC and rabies vaccinations. Our Dog Catchers are courageous and compassionate.

After the dogs are caught, they are brought to the clinic, where our ABC Team performs the spay or neuter procedure and administers the rabies vaccine.

After the procedure, we notch one of the dog’s ears so that they can easily be identified as having had ABC and a rabies vaccine. After two days of recovery in our clinic, the dogs are released back to their community.
We take great care to always return the dogs back to where they were picked up.
Please contact us if you know a street dog or cat who needs Animal Birth Control or a rabies vaccine.
